  • National Library of Australia provides access to several encyclopedias and dictionaries once you have a library card.
  • eScholarship editions collection includes almost 2000 books from academic presses on a range of topics, including art, science, history, music, religion, and fiction.
  • fictionbook-lib.org is an internet library of free eBooks in English.
  • Free-eBooks.net has fiction, business and marketing ebooks.
  • Google books gives access to some fulltext books and previews of others.
  • National Academies Press has more than 8,500 titles on a range of subjects and contains millions of titles on a broad range of topics.
  • Online Books Page is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania and contains over 25,000 English titles on a broad range of topics.
  • Open Books Project comes from the publisher O'Reilly. It provides a collection of computing books on topics such as Perl, MySQL, Linux and CGI.
  • Project Gutenberg is the internet's oldest producer of free electronic books.
